| Penerangan CU | Blasting equipment and materials must comply with international blasting & coating standards and client requirements. The role of the inspector is to check that this compliance is adhered to before the commencement of the blasting operation. The person who is competent in this CU will be able to identify blasting equipment and materials pre-blasting inspection requirements, inspect blasting equipment, accessories, materials and personal protective equipment, and determine status for commencement of blasting operation The outcome of this competency is to ensure that blasting equipment and materials comply with international blasting & coating standards and client requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform blasting equipment and materials pre-blasting inspection in accordance with standard blasting and coating practices and legislative requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify blasting equipment & accessories and consumables inspection requirements • Inspect blasting equipment • (air compressor, blasting pot) • Inspect blasting equipment accessories (blasting hoses, nozzles, dead man switch) and consumables • Inspect Blasting Protective Equipment (breathing respirator, blasting helmet, air manifold) • Determine status for commencement of blasting operation |
