| Penerangan CU | The CU title describes the competency in Tug Fire Fighting Operation. The type and position of the fire scenario should be varied in a well- conceived sequence which covers most parts of the ship and all types of fire fighting. He or She must be able to conduct onboard Fire Fighting and Assisting Fire Fighting to Third Party Vessels in Port. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify type and location of fire, alert ship crew and situational assessment, identify FFA and tactical approach, execute fire extinguishing and monitoring, reporting to relevant authority and interested party. The outcome of this competency is to develop the Tug Master in fighting onboard fire and assist Fire Fighting to Third Party vessels in accordance with port/employer expectation, best practices and requirement. Tug Master must train in advance fire fighting. |
