| Penerangan CU | The CU title describes the competency in Non-Conventional Steering Operation. Non-Conventional vessel is the ship equipped in at least one propeller different than conventional or more conventional propellers, rudder and equipped in thrusters. It is highly maneuverable, being able to change the direction of its thrust almost instantaneously. He or She must be able to perform Non-Conventional Steering Operation. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to analyse operation order, confirm machineries readiness, confirm instrument readiness, monitor Tug Boat stability, verify maintenance report and perform tug non-conventional steering operation The outcome of this competency is to develop the tug master in non-conventional steering operation in accordance with Port/Employer expectation, best practices and requirement. All Tug Masters must Certified by Marine Department and new certified Tug Master must undergo on job training and evaluated by Senior Tug Master. |
