| Penerangan CU | The Competency Unit Title describes the competency needed by persons in carrying out Radar System Installation. An installation is fixing or semi-fixing of a complete system or a self-contained unit, with its accompanying assemblies, accessories and parts. Installation generally also includes provision of or connection to services (such as power) required to make the installed equipment ready for operation. For the purpose of this Competency Unit, Radar System consists of: • Grounding Chamber; • Power Supply Switches, Breakers and Outlets; • Support or Seating or Mounting Structure; • Module Cabinet; • Radar Antenna Assembly • Radar Transmitter; Receiver or Transceiver; • Display Console; and • Power Supply Unit These activities are conducted by Radar Installation and Maintenance Technician. He or she is directly involved and responsible in carrying out Radar System installation activities in accordance with customer requirements and Company’s Operating Procedures and good Industrial Practices. Person who is competent in this Competency Unit shall be able to Carry Out Grounding Chamber Construction, Carry Out Power Supply Switches, Breaker and Outlet Installation, Prepare Support or Seating or Mounting Structure Diagram, Carry Out Module Cabinet Installation, Carry Out Radar Equipment Installation, and Prepare Radar System Installation Report in accordance with the customer and industry requirements. The outcome of this Competency Unit is person that shall be able to provide excellent and quality Radar System Installation to ensure customer satisfaction guaranteed and prompt action taken in accordance with industry Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Company’s Policies, Rules and Regulations. |
