Penerangan CUDraughting office & facilities maintenance administration is the competency of assisting the departmental manager in continuous up-keeping of a draughting office, facilities and building to ensure they are always in good state of repairs and can be effectively used for intended purposes. The scope includes cleaning, repainting, waste disposal, termite treatment, and repairs to damaged or rotting areas. It also ensures that all electrical fittings, air-conditioning systems, telecommunication systems, plumbing, sewage systems, are in proper working order.

Office building custody is very important for this industry as the office building will also be a storage space for engineering drawings for long period of time, and that may be perishable by weather and insect. Building that is clean with effective maintenance has positive impact to staff and work products. Painting works production requires a clean environment.

The person who is competent draughting office & facilities maintenance administration will be able to perform work area housekeeping planning, perform work area housekeeping resources allocation, perform work area housekeeping activities monitoring, perform draughting office & facilities preventive maintenance planning preparation, perform draughting office & facilities audit and perform draughting office & facilities preventive maintenance implementation.

Effective Draughting office facilities administrator should be able to administer the facilities and office building housekeeping, hygiene and maintenance to achieve the prescribed housekeeping, hygiene and maintenance standard at an optimum cost in accordance with organizational requirements. Thus ensure that drawing facilities, office building and its components are clean and in good order and suitable to be used all time.

The outcome of this CU is to meet occupational skills standard which incorporate the skills, knowledge and attitude to be delivered systematically.

Objektif PembelajaranThe person who is competent in this CU shall be able to administer the facilities and office building housekeeping, hygiene and maintenance to achieve the prescribed housekeeping, hygiene and maintenance standard at an optimum cost in accordance with organizational requirements. Thus ensure that drawing facilities, office building and its components are clean, in good order and suitable to be used all time. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:
