| Penerangan CU | This competency unit describes the skills, knowledge and attitude requirements in electron sterilization operation. Electron beam processing involves irradiation (treatment) of products using a high-energy electron beam accelerator. Electron beam accelerators utilize an on-off technology with a common design being similar to that of a cathode ray television. The person who is competent in electron beam sterilization operation to shall be able organize non-sterile product scheduled for electron beam sterilization, prepare irradiator and equipment for electron beam sterilization, perform scheduled non-sterile product loading, perform electron beam sterilization process, perform sterile product unloading and record irradiation process. The outcome of this competency is to provide proficient electron sterilization operation in accordance to industry standard and work safety requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able provide excellent service by performing Electron beam irradiation operation process that demonstrates the viability and ensure product radiated and physical confirmation conducted so that specifications and customer Dose requested have been met. Ultimately be responsible for ensuring that the final product meets its labelling claims ofElectron beam and ensure customer satisfaction guaranteed and prompt action taken according to Industry Standards, regulatory requirements and technical specification. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to :- 1. Organize non-sterile product scheduled for electron beam sterilization. 2. Prepare irradiator and auxiliary equipment for electron beam sterilization. 3. Perform scheduled non-sterile product loading. 4. Perform electron beam sterilization process. 5. Perform sterile product unloading. 6. Record electron beam sterilization process. |
