| Penerangan CU | Ship hull marking and cutting is an initial process in ship construction. This process is to transfer the design of ship drawing into its actual ship size. These involve different stages of marking, cutting and assembly of the steel components. The person needs to understand and translate the detail drawing into ship construction drawing. He must be competent to mark, cut in difference methods and techniques. The person who is competent in Ship Hull Marking and Cutting shall be able to prepare ship hull marking and cutting requirements, carry out marking / lofting activities, perform mechanical cutting, perform gas cutting, perform Computer Numerical Control (CNC) cutting, perform plate bending and prepare work completion report in accordance with ship hull construction drawing specifications. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that the cutting and marking process will increase the efficiency with less rework and wastages and improve in productivity in accordance with ship construction specification. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this competency is to ensure that the cutting and marking process will increase the efficiency with less rework and wastages and improve in productivity in accordance with ship construction specification. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Prepare ship hull marking and cutting requirements; • Carry out marking activities; • Perform mechanical cutting; • Perform gas cutting; • Perform Computer Numerical Control (CNC) cutting; and Prepare work completion report. |
