| Penerangan CU | Yarn Dyeing describes the competencies required to perform dyeing on yarn prior to the weaving or knitting process. Yarn can be dyed in two forms, package or hank form. The term package dyeing usually denotes for dyeing of yarn that has been wound on perforated cores. This helps in forcing the dye through the package. In hank dyeing, the yarns are loosely arranged in skeins or endless bundles of specified length and hung over a rung and immersed in a dyebath in a large container. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare yarn dyeing requirements, perform yarn dyeing, after-treatment, drying and colour checking processes, and complete yarn dyeing operation. The outcome of this competency is production of quality dyed yarn to be knitted or weaved into fabric. |
