| Penerangan CU | Towing Operation is a process in which OSV is deployed to move a mobile floating unit to/from a specified location to an assigned location pre-determined by the charterer. The person who is competent to be in charge of the towing operation shall be able to identify and prepare the requirements as indicated in the towing procedures which may include the identification of potential hazards, safety aspects, tools and equipment before deploying and/or executing the towing operation with specified tow configuration in accordance with safe working practices. The person must be able to recognize requirements specific to the job during pre-mob meetings, provide overall supervision on board for deployment and recovery of the towing line safely. The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure that the towing operation is carried out safely and in full compliance with industry practices and in accordance with end user requirements and specifications. |
