| Penerangan CU | Oilfield navigation management is managing navigation of vessel within offshore limits as per legislation and company’s requirements. The person who is competent in managing oilfield navigation shall be able to identify the potential navigational hazards and problems that may occur along the planned offshore route and take appropriate actions. This includes the use of up to date coastal navigational charts and up to date weather forecast to plan and conduct the passage and the application of coastal navigational techniques involving a range of instrumentation and navigational aids. The person must be able to ensure that the navigational requirements including the 500 meter safety zone requirements are met and record the navigation details in the relevant logbook. The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure the safety of navigation, protection of the marine environment and the safety of the vessel and persons on board. |
