| Penerangan CU | The CU title describes the competency in wedding dress making. A wedding dress/wedding gown is the clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony. Colour, style and ceremonial importance of the gown can depend on the religion and culture of the wedding participants. Examples of traditional wedding dress attire are such as Baju Kebangsaan and Baju Kurung for Malay; Cheongsam and Samfo for Chinese; Sari and Lehnga for India; and others follow own type of ethnic. Over time, colour options and fabric choices for Indian brides have expanded. Today fabrics like crepe, georgette, charmeuse, and satin are used, and colours have been expanded to include gold, pink, orange, maroon, brown, and yellow as well. Indian brides in Western countries often wear the sari at the wedding ceremony and change into traditional Indian wear afterwards (lehnga and choli). The personnel who are competent in this competency unit shall be able to interpret customer requirements, differentiates and match the machine, auxiliary equipment and materials to be used and confirm production traditional wedding dress making setup correctly, execute production activities and produce traditional wedding dress product as per process requirements. The outcome of this competency is to produce a traditional wedding dress from the take measurement from customer body, drafting paper pattern, cut fabric from the paper pattern layout, sewing and assemble the office garment parts, fitting and finishing office wear as per customer specifications. All products are produced in accordance with standard operating procedure, customer and product specifications. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to provide traditional wedding dress to meet customer specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- identify traditional wedding dress making requirements and specifications; carry out body measurement activities for traditional wedding dress making; carry out drafting activities for traditional wedding dress making; carry out fabric cutting activities for traditional wedding dress making; carry out sewing activities for traditional wedding dress making; carry out fitting activities for traditional wedding dress making and carry out finishing activities for traditional wedding dress making |
