| Penerangan CU | Computer system asset management is also known as IT asset management is the set of business practices that join financial, contractual and inventory functions to support strategic decision making for the IT environment. Assets include all elements of software and hardware that are found in the business environment. It involves gathering detailed hardware and software inventory information which is then used to make decisions about hardware and software purchases and redistribution. The objective of asset management is to help organizations manage their systems more effectively and saves time and money by eliminating unnecessary purchases and wasted resources. The person who is competent in computer system asset management shall be able to analyse computer system asset inventory, define operational status of each computer system item, estimate cost and space, determine asset management system, monitor asset tagging and labeling, execute asset disposal and prepare asset management report in accordance with company SOP. The outcome of this competency is to prepare strategic environment to the organisation to support business continuity. |
