| Penerangan CU | This competency unit describes the skill, knowledge and attribute in Casting Product Development . The person incharge will responsible for designing casting product, process as well as gating & risering system to ensure casting can be produced as per order and meet customer requirements. The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to analyse customer requirements, acquire casting design information and resources. carry out casting design, carry out casting prototype preparation ,evaluate casting design activities and prepare casting design documentation and reports The outcome of this competency is to produce casting design which covers pattern or die/mould design especially gating and risering system meant for streamline of molten metal flows. The vital element is casting tolerances and mouldability in accordance with Product Specification, Standard Operating Procedure and customer requirements, |
