Penerangan CUAdvertising And Promotion Crisis And Risk Management is a form of management in case of the unexpected crisis and occurrence of potential risk. A large or small, even the best managed businesses may be hit by an unexpected crisis. These can be recalls of dangerous or contaminated products, a civil product liability law suit, or some other unforeseen disaster that may hurt sales, the bottom line, and reflect badly on a company's image. A risk is the possible effect of uncertainty or deviation from the original objectives. Risk management is the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks, followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities. Risks can come from uncertainty in financial markets, project failures (at any phase in design, development, production, or sustainment life-cycles), legal liabilities, credit risk, accidents, natural causes and disasters as well as deliberate attack from an adversary, or events of uncertain or unpredictable root-cause. The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to identify possible risk and to turn it to maximize opportunities, and able to address the area of concerns by the stakeholders when comes to crisis management. In a crisis for example, the media, the public and, most importantly, the customers and prospects want to know what happened, why, how can it be fixed and how can customers be compensated for any damages or inconveniences they might have suffered, if any. The outcome of this competency is to minimize potential damage, protect and to maintain the company’s image and stakeholders’ benefits/interest mainly from losing the sales and bottom line of the company.
