| Penerangan CU | This competency unit describes the skills, knowledge and attitude requirements in the range of washers used for washing non-sterile items in the decontamination zone. Washing process includes washing, disinfection, drying and validation of medical items to ensure safe work practiced and protective barriers routine conducted during washing operation. The person who is competent in non-sterile item washing operation shall be able to identify types of non-sterile item washing operations, carryout washer disinfector washing process, carryout ultrasonic bath washing process, carryout manual washing process and carryout endoscope washer for cleaning process. The outcome of this competency is to complete the cycle for non-sterile item washing operations at decontamination zone to ensure sterilization processing facilities are in good working condition and cleaning and handling techniques used are in accordance to Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and prompt action is taken according to Industry Standards, regulatory requirements and technical specification. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to complete the cycle for non-sterile item washing operations at decontamination zone to ensure sterilization processing facilities are in good working condition and cleaning and handling techniques used are in accordance to Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and prompt action is taken according to Industry Standards, regulatory requirements and technical specification. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to :- 1. Identify types of non-sterile item washing operations. 2. Perform washer disinfector washing operation. 3. Perform ultrasonic bath washing operation. 4. Perform manual washing operation. 5. Perform endoscope cleaning. |
