| Penerangan CU | BMD SM describes a process of servicing for the purpose of maintaining BMD as well as their associated equipment in satisfactory operating condition by providing a systematic check, detection, and correction of incipient/ initial failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. SM Programme will ensure optimum performance and safe operations of BMD. It is also important in minimising downtime while extending BMD clinical application life. This CU is important because it can determine factors that contributes towards ensuring BMD are functioning in the highest possible state of operations throughout its clinical application. Through this CU, it also provides means to detect impending BMD failures, forecast manpower and material requirements and eliminating the need of premature replacement of device. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to Prepare BMD SM Activities, Perform BMD Qualitative Tasks, Perform BMD Quantitative Tasks (Preventive Maintenance - PM Tasks), Perform Quantitative Tasks (Performance Tests), Perform BMD Quantitative Tasks (Electrical Safety Test-EST), Perform BMD Parameters Setting-up/Calibration and Perform BMD Routine Inspection (RI). The outcome of this CU is person that shall be able to perform BMD SM to ensure the BMD can be performed smoothly and avoid downtimes according to Manufacturer’s Reference Document, MS IEC60601/ MS IEC61010/ MS IEC62353 and relevant PPM Forms/ Checklists. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this CU is to ensure the BMD can be performed smoothly and avoid downtimes according to Manufacturer’s Reference Document, MS IEC 60601/MS IEC 61010/ MS IEC 62353 and relevant PPM Forms/ Checklists.
