Penerangan CUAdvertising And Promotion (A&P) Budget Planning and Monitoring is a process to plan and monitor budget allocated for A&P project/program spread across the year according to the sales and marketing targets set by the company. Advertising And Promotion Budget Planning and Monitoring forms the cornerstone of advertising and promotion. The budget will be planned according to the proposal. Advertising and Promotion proposal is a set of document that provides solution to a problem or a course of action in response to a need / brief. A good proposal not only able to provide solution to the needs but with the coverage on the complete execution tactics in detail, timing, and cost involved. It must be convincing enough to get the buy in from the target audience. Before any strategic ideas or plans can be developed one must have the budget in place based on the overall objectives set. Once the total budget has been ascertained, the budget must then be broken down by projects / sub-brands / objectives / product launches. It is with these specific detailed budgets that the campaign ideas can be derived and executed. During the execution process, budget planning and monitoring is critical. It is important that the advertising and promotion spent is spread across the year according to the sales and marketing targets set. During the course of the year, one must also monitor to ensure that the amount spend is in line with the budget that has been set. The outcome of this competency is critical so as to ensure the advertising and promotion budget planning is aligned with marketing objectives and company profit targets set. The bottom line is that an effective marketing campaign can only be a success if the A&P spent is kept within the budget set and stipulated in the proposal, hence monitoring is a key factor to the success of the budget plan.
