Penerangan CUMedia Monitoring And Analysis Services are the services to provide clients with copies of media content, which is of specific interest to them and subject to changing demand; what they provide may include documentation, content, analysis, or editorial opinion, specifically or widely. Media monitoring and analysis is required for the purposes of ensuring that the media coverage compiled is able to be analysed and reported. This competency is required for personnel particularly within a public relation (PR) agency whereby once the coordinator personnel has compiled all the media reports (either PR coverage, paid media or even competitor activities) the role of the personnel is to evaluate the reports compiled. Evaluation of the report might include an analysis of the monthly PR activities of the key players within the industry, a numerical analysis of the PR value which is attached to each article in the media and also an overall summary of the media news. The outcome of this role is to ensure that the client is constantly up to date with the latest media activities of the key players in their respective industries. Generally, a monthly report is churned out for this purpose with the exception of critically urgent news which will then be updated via phone / email / fax. Media reporting is important as the client is then able to evaluate the newsworthiness of their own campaign and able to counter attack the plans of their competitors.

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:-

2. Prepare post buy media analysis / Return on Investment (ROI)
3. Provide updated market intelligence and recommendation
4. Analyse media coverage trends
5. Produce media monitoring performance report
