The person who is competent in sea water system control shall be able to clean water tanks, filter sea water, improve sea water parameter, disinfect sea water and discharge effluent in accordance with environmental requirements. The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure adequate supply of clean sea water with optimum water quality parameters, a sea water system free from defects, water supply runs smoothly and effluent discharged in accordance with environmental standards. |
