| Penerangan CU | Material Take-Off (MTO) is the process of analysing drawings and determining information and details of all the materials required to complete the design. In engineering and construction, the term refers to a list of materials with quantities and types, grades of materials and the weight of such materials that are required to build a designed structure. The information, which includes detailed descriptions, cost and quantity of each item of the required materials, for the project is also referred to as the Material Take Off (MTO) or Bill of Material (BOM). This is important when dealing with larger structure to determine the total weight of the structure and how best to move the item (if necessary) when construction is completed. The competent person will be able to prepare and check the information furnished in the MTO or BOM. This CU covers activities from identify MTO requirements, identify MTO information, prepare detail material types, sizes and quantities for MTO, calculate quantities and prices for MTO to confirm MTO prepared. The outcome of this CU is the development of competencies to prepare offshore structure MTO. |
