Penerangan CUAgriculture & Agro-based products sales merchandizing management is the management function for merchandising on the practice which contributes to the sale of products to a retail consumer. The profession includes the retail in-store level to enable variety of products available for sale and the display of those products in such a way that it stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase. In agriculture & agro-based products retail commerce, visual display merchandising the sales using products types, selection, packaging, pricing, and display that stimulates consumers to spend more. This includes disciplines and discounting, physical presentation of products and displays, and the decisions about which products should be presented to which customers at what time.

The person who is competent in Agro-based products sales merchandizing management shall be able to determine merchandizing layout, conduct merchandising display, deploy personnel for merchandising activity, Evaluate merchandising programme effectiveness and Prepare merchandising management report

The outcome of this competency is to ensure that customers are accessible to products information, view the products attribute and enable sales to be solicited. They is no specific pre-requisite in this competency unit, however the practitioners should practice integrity and ethical manner in their occupation.

Pra-SyaratThere is no specific prerequisite for this competency unit. However the Agro-based products merchandizing programs complying with legislative compliances which includes the information broadcasting and disseminating governance requirements
