| Penerangan CU | Vehicle drive train maintenance service is an essential role for vehicle to prevent premature wear and damage caused by contaminated or broken-down lubricant. The lubricating fluid enable or avoiding the differential break down, to properly lubricate the gears, replacing the fluid to avoid premature wear on the gears in the differential, and reduce wear on drive-wheel tires, transmission includes the old transfer case fluid is removed and replaced with new fluid that conforms to vehicle manufacturer's recommendation. Hydraulics is a topic in applied engineering dealing with the mechanical properties of liquids. At a very basic level hydraulics is the liquid version of pneumatics. Hydraulic pressure acting through the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) in the transmission or transaxle produces the shifts. The competency includes perform vehicle manual/auto transmission service & inspection, prepare lubrication setup, replace transmission lubricants, check the lubrication conformance, inspect hydraulic clutch linkage condition, carry out clutch cable replacement, and carry out clutch pedal clearance adjustment. The outcome of this competency is to recognize and identify the automatic transmission, manual transmission and components in compliance with service manual and adhere to workshop practices to meet workshop safety and health regulation. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to recognize and identify the automatic transmission, manual transmission and components in compliance with service manual and adhere to workshop practices to meet workshop safety and health regulation. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to: - - Perform vehicle manual/auto transmission service & inspection - Prepare lubrication setup - Replace transmission lubricants - Perform lubrication conformance - Inspect hydraulic clutch linkage condition - Carry out clutch cable replacement - Carry out clutch pedal clearance adjustment |
