| Penerangan CU | "The Radiographic Testing (RT) Safety Operation describes the requirement in safety operation for both X-ray and -ray activities during radiographic execution, equipment verification and transportation. The objective of this CU is to ensure that the level 1 operator is able to handle the radiography equipment and ensure the safety for both operator and operation are in accordance with AELB and company standard operating procedure requirements. The person who is competent in this Cu shall be able to acquire radiation monitoring devices, check radiation equipment calibration validity and functionality, execute -ray radiography equipment transportation,carry out radiation safety practices for -ray, carry out radiation safety practices for X-ray, perform emergency procedure involving -ray source, perform emergency procedure involving x-ray machine, ensure safe storage of x-ray machine and ensure safe storage of -ray devices." |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The objective of this CU is to ensure that the level one (1) operator is able to handle the radiography equipment and ensure the safety of both operator and operation are in accordance with AELB and company standard operating procedure requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit trainees shall be able to: 1. Acquire radiation monitoring devices 2. Check radiography equipment calibration validity and functionality 3. Execute gamma-ray radiography equipment transportation 4. Carry out radiation safety practices for gamma-ray 5. Carry out radiation safety practices for X-ray 6. Perform emergency procedure involving gamma- ray sources 7. Perform emergency procedure involving X-ray sources 8. Ensure safe storage of X-ray devices 9. Ensure safe storage of gamma-ray machine |
