| Penerangan CU | Basic rigging and slinging operation is to provide basic understanding and required skills of rigging and slinging activities as to comply with statutory, client and company requirements. A person who is competent in basic rigging and slinging operation shall be able to identify basic rigging and slinging work requirement, conduct visual inspection, identify required lifting gears and appliances, perform basic rigging and slinging activities and prepare basic rigging and slinging activities report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure safe, correct and appropriate working practices in rigging and slinging activities inclusive of lifting gear selection, application of knot, hitch, signalling and sling angle. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | Basic rigging and slinging operation is to provide basic understanding and required skills of rigging and slinging activities as to comply with statutory, client and company requirements. The outcome of this competency is to ensure safe, correct and appropriate working practices in rigging and slinging activities inclusive of lifting gear selection, application of knot, hitch, signalling and sling angle. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify basic rigging and slinging work requirements • Inspect lifting gears • Identify required lifting gears and appliances • Perform basic rigging and slinging activities • Upkeep work area • Complete basic rigging and slinging activities checklist |
| Pra-Syarat | Based on the workshop findings, it is decided that the minimum requirements for those interested to enrol in this course areas below:i. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or ii. Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) with 5 years working experience |
