| Penerangan CU | Tunnelling maintenance works is to avoid or mitigate the consequences of failure of system or equipment. Corrective maintenance is a maintenance task performed to identify, isolate, and rectify a fault so that the failed equipment, machine, or system can be restored to an operational condition within the tolerances or limits established for in-service operations. The purpose of preventive maintenance in satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before become into major defects. The person who is competent in tunnelling maintenance works must be able to identify tunnelling maintenance requirement, perform tunnelling preventive maintenance, perform tunnelling corrective maintenance and report tunnelling maintenance activities to superior in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The outcome of this competency is to ensure tools, equipment and machinery and tunnelling facilities in order during tunnel construction in accordance with SOP and Tunnel Construction Plan (TCP). |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to ensure tools, equipment and machinery and tunnelling facilities in order during tunnel construction in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Tunnel Construction Plan (TCP). Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to: - • Identify tunnelling maintenance requirement. • Perform tunnelling preventive maintenance. • Perform tunnelling corrective maintenance. • Report tunnelling maintenance activities to superior. |
