| Penerangan CU | The CU title describes the competency in raw water intake operation management. He or She is the person responsible for withdrawing water from the sources such as river, lake, or reservoir over a predetermined range of pool level and removing large floating objects from the water to protect pumping equipment. The process also removes gases and volatile compounds and oxidize certain dissolved metals. The person who is competent in raw water intake management shall be able to gather raw water intake information data, analyse intake point raw water level data, analyse raw water pump performance, analyse sand pump ejector performance, evaluate raw water quantity and quality for treatment and prepare raw water intake management report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure acceptable quality and sufficient quantity of raw water intake to be processed according to required demand. | Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to manage activities to withdraw water from various sources such as river, lake, dam or underground water based on raw water quality standards set by the authority and sufficient quantity according to plant design capacity. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to: - Gather raw water intake information data. Analyse intake point raw water level data. Analyse raw water pump performance. Analyse sand pump ejector performance. Evaluate raw water quantity and quality for treatment. Prepare raw water intake management report. |
